The Eyes Have It!  Eye Grooming Make your eyes POP!  Tinting is a great option for those of us who are sensitive to cosmetics around our eyes.  All of our tinting is done with a vegetal-based dye, RefectoCil®.  We have many colors to choose from, and this is one of our most popular services.

What is the lash tinting procedure?
It is best to come in with no mascara; however, we can remove any makeup if needed.  Your eyes will be prepared placing Vaseline and cellophane underneath which act as a barrier so the tint doesn’t stain the skin.  Once prepared you will be asked to close your eyes and keep them closed for the duration of the procedure.  The tint is then applied using a brush, working carefully to completely saturate the upper and lower lashes.  It is left on the eye for 7-10 minutes, then removed carefully with a final rinse to completely soothe and cleanse the eye area.

Is it safe?
It is not a harsh dye with ammonia like hair dyes; it is a vegetal-based color.  Done in a professional setting, by a trained and licensed professional, tinting is completely safe for the eye.

How long does the tinting last?
Everyone is different, but “regulars” tint every 4-6 weeks.  There are people who like the first fresh look of the eye after tinting, and have the treatment done every 3 weeks.

Can I wear contacts?
It is best to wear glasses to the appointment.  If you are wearing contacts, you will need to remove them prior to tinting.  We have solution here to store your contacts, or you are welcome to bring your own.
